I’m an American author of books for children and adults, and am a native of Athens, Georgia. For many years, I lived in the nearby small town of Winterville, the setting of my debut children’s middle-grade novel, Gone From These Woods, published by Random House. My latest book is Cooking With Annie D: Southern Recipes Seasoned with Seagraves and Pettyjohn Family History. When I’m not writing, I work in my used and rare book business, Junebug Books and Collectibles, that I founded in 1998.
I began writing on a typewriter in the 1980s and over the years I’ve used or tried to use almost every writing software and app on the market. Dabble makes writing much easier for me. It works on my Mac Mini, my ipad pro, my iphone and online and includes all the tools I need to create novels. It also works for my nonfiction. I enjoy using Dabble and count it as one of the most important tools in my writer’s tool chest.
