I retired from my job as a career prosecutor in 2012 and began writing fiction full time.
Dabble has been a key element of my writing strategy. I use it to structure my plots in my novels. I always start with the grid as I put the pieces of the main plot together scene by scene. At the same time I use the grid to put together the subplots, one by one, scene by scene. I found Dabble to be helpful in doing my "deep dive" character analysis and for "freestyle" setting ideas. I also use the grid to break down the plots in novels that I read that I find to be great examples of various structural elements that I use in all my novels. In short, I now rely on Dabble for every aspect of pre-planning of my novels before I start writing the novel itself.
