I write rompy space opera science fiction and (under the name J. Beckett) action/adventure thrillers. I started writing as a NaNoWriMo win after years of never finishing. Figured I’d written the thing might as well put it out there. To date I have 3 series totaling 17 books with 2 more in the editing/release pipeline.

Shelbia grew up enthralled with classic monsters and ghost hunting both on-screen and between the pages of books. After her literature professor told her it would be a tragedy for her to not pursue writing, she decided she wanted to write books as exciting as the tales she had steeped in as a child. Shelbia lives in North Alabama with her husband where she is wife, cat mother, and the local spooky girl.

I served in the Armed Forces and am a true Patriot. I stand for the flag and kneel before God. It's been a desire to write fiction and finally my book is published - it's almost surreal. I'm just enjoying the rest of this journey.
