Managing Your Projects
Finish one book, start three more. Duplicate a project to test a bolder draft. Before long your dashboard looks like a desk you keep meaning to clear off.
Good news: it tidies up fast.
Tidy the shelf
Section titled “Tidy the shelf”- Organize your dashboard: group projects into collections, sort them, and fold away the ones you’re not working on.
- Rename a project and Archive a project: keep the finished ones out of your way without deleting a word.
Move things around
Section titled “Move things around”- Duplicate a project: an exact copy to experiment on, so the original stays safe.
- Move work between projects: send a book, chapter, scene, character, or note from one project into another.
- Merge two projects: fold a whole project into another one.
Get it back
Section titled “Get it back”- Recover a deleted scene, chapter, or note: for something you deleted inside a project.
- Recover or permanently delete trashed work: for a whole project you trashed from the dashboard.
- View and restore version history: roll back to an earlier draft, or bring one document forward.
- Back up your work: keep a copy of your own, outside Dabble.
